Liverpool Football Club has released a new biography in honour of late forward Diogo Jota.
The book, titled, “Forever in Our Hearts”, was announced by the club on Thursday, October 22, 2026, via its official X handle.
Written by Portuguese author and former professional footballer José Delgado, the biography was published by Reach Sport. It traces Jota’s journey from his early years in Portugal to becoming a Premier League champion with Liverpool and UEFA Nations League winner with Portugal.
According to the club, the biography features memories from over 90 people who knew Jota closely, including his wife Rute, his parents Isabel and Joaquim, and former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, as well as friends, teammates and coaches.
The book paints a personal portrait of Jota, highlighting his talent, determination, humility and the relationships that defined his life and career. It also celebrates his close bond with his younger brother, André Silva.
Jota, 28, and his brother André died in a car crash in Spain on July 3, 2025, just 11 days after Jota’s wedding to his childhood sweetheart Rute. Their deaths drew tributes from across the football world.
Liverpool said all profits from the club’s sales of the book will go to the LFC Foundation to fund a grassroots football programme to be established in Jota’s name.
Author José Delgado said the book was written to preserve Jota’s memory with care, honesty and respect, so that future generations will understand who he was.
