Electricity customers in Lagos suffered poor supply in August, with several Band A feeders failing to deliver the minimum 20 hours required, data from the Lagos State Electricity Regulatory Commission has shown.
The commission’s August 2026 factsheet showed Eko Electricity had 201 compliant feeders and 46 non-compliant feeders out of its 247 Band A feeders.
Ikeja Electric recorded 113 compliant feeders and 52 non-compliant out of 165 Band A feeders.
Some feeders recorded no supply at all during the month.
Under Eko, Akangba TS_NRC_Print Serve and Akoka TS_Akoka Local T3A_Akoka_Unilag 1 had zero hours of electricity.
Under Ikeja Electric, 11-OgbaINJ-T1-Isokoko and three other Band A feeders also recorded zero hours. Despite the failures, a few feeders performed close to 24 hours.
For Eko, Blue Rail Line was the best performing feeder with an average of 23.9 hours and full compliance across 31 days. Its top 10 Band A feeders averaged 23.9 hours, while the bottom 10 averaged 13.1 hours. Overall Band A average was 21.9 hours.
For Ikeja, 132-EgbinTCN-MARYLAND-OMNIK was the top feeder with 24 hours average daily supply. Its top 10 averaged 23.7 hours, bottom 10 averaged 12 hours, with an overall Band A average of 21.3 hours.
Performance dropped further in lower bands.
Eko’s Band B averaged 16.2 hours, Band C 12.6 hours, Band D 10.1 hours and Band E 8.3 hours.
Ikeja’s Band B averaged 15.3 hours, Band C 12.3 hours, Band D 9.2 hours and Band E 7.8 hours.
