Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has apologised to Laide Bakare over her reaction when Bakare’s name was mentioned during her interview on Isbae U’s podcast.
Badmus issued the apology on Instagram on Tuesday after a clip from the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast went viral and drew backlash.
In the clip, host Isbae U named Laide as one of his favourite actresses, prompting a visible reaction from Badmus. The moment sparked online debate and revived their long-running feud.
Addressing it, Badmus wrote, “On reflection, I realise my reaction when Laide Bakare’s name was mentioned during my recent interview could have come across as dismissive, and for that, I sincerely apologise.”
She added, “Laide, whatever our differences, I choose peace and I genuinely wish you well.”
She said growth is about learning and moving forward, noting that maturity is knowing when to let go.
“Joo maa binu. No negativity. No grudges. Let love lead and peace reigns,” she concluded.
The apology came a day after Bakare called her out, accusing her of being ungrateful and repeatedly damaging her reputation publicly.
The two have a history of public clashes, including incidents at movie premieres and social media exchanges.
