Afrobeats star Davido has shared photos of his meeting with Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, in New York.
The singer posted the pictures on Instagram on Thursday, days after he was spotted with the billionaire at Times Square where the Dangote Petroleum Refinery Initial Public Offering (IPO) was displayed on a giant Nasdaq billboard.
In the photos, Davido and Dangote were seen together with others, posing under the digital billboard carrying the message “Made in Nigeria. Built for the World.”
Davido, whose real name is David Adeleke, said he had questions for Dangote about the refinery project and described him as someone who had all the answers.
“When two generations of Nigerian ambition meet, the conversation is worth listening to,” he captioned the post.
The Times Square appearance is part of the global push for the Dangote Refinery’s public offer. The IPO opened on September 14 and will close on October 13, 2026.
According to the offer details, 4.1 billion ordinary shares are available at N525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, meaning interested investors can start with N5,250.
The video from earlier in the week showed Davido in a black suit and sunglasses standing beside Dangote in a grey suit, both pointing to the billboard and exchanging thumbs up while onlookers recorded the moment.
Dangote had earlier explained that the listing is meant to spread wealth across Africa and give ordinary Nigerians a chance to own part of the refinery.
