Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury says he will invite US President Donald Trump to lead his ring walk for his blockbuster all-British clash with Anthony Joshua.
Fury and Joshua are set to finally meet on December 11 at the 80,000-capacity Principality Stadium in Cardiff.
Speaking to British media on Saturday, Fury said, “I’ll definitely make that offer to my old buddy, old pal, and we’ll see if he’s available. Probably unlikely because of the situation he’s in at the moment, being the President of the United States.”
Fury met Trump at UFC Freedom 250 at the White House in June, where he wore a cap that read “Donald Trump for Prime Minister” after his US travel ban was lifted.
The Gypsy King also dismissed Joshua as a warm-up, insisting his main target remains a trilogy fight with Oleksandr Usyk.
