The Kano State Police Command has returned stolen properties recovered from criminals to their owners.
The items include an orange Vibe motor vehicle and an ash coloured Haojue motorcycle, which were recovered through intelligence led operations.
Police spokesperson, CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed this in a statement on Friday, saying the handover was done at the Command headquarters in Bompai, Kano.
According to him, the vehicles were formally handed over after proper verification, authentication of ownership documents and documentation.
The beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude to the police, commended the command for its professionalism and commitment to duty, describing the prompt return as proof of a responsive police service.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, who congratulated the owners, said the exercise is in line with the policing vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, which focuses on protection of lives and property, restoration of stolen property to victims and building public trust through transparent service.
Bakori assured that the Command remains resolutely committed to making Kano safe and secure, adding that all recovered stolen properties will be returned to legitimate owners after due verification.
