Some gospel music organisers have suspended their upcoming programmes in honour of late gospel singer, Olayemi Bayonile Bolaji, popularly known as Toluwanisings.
Toluwanisings died in the early hours of Wednesday, October 14, 2026, after he reportedly slumped at his residence in Ibadan. His family confirmed his passing in a statement shared on his verified Instagram page.
Following his death, three organisers, Kaywonder, Pure Gospel Music Generals Akure (PUGMUG) and AY Grace Music Ministry announced that they would be postponing or cancelling their events.
Kaywonder, known for the song “Oke Nla”, announced on Thursday the postponement of the 7th edition of his Invasion Praise Concert, which was scheduled for Sunday, October 18, at 2pm.
In a statement, he said the gospel music community was deeply affected by the loss, and the decision was taken in honour of the late minister’s memory.
“Following the heartbreaking loss of one of the Gospel minister, Toluwanisings, we have been deeply affected by this painful moment. In honour of his memory and in recognition of the grief currently felt across the Gospel community, we have prayerfully decided to postpone the concert,” the statement read.
He added that the moment called for reflection and prayer, noting that a new date would be announced soon.
Similarly, PUGMUG announced the cancellation of its 10th anniversary celebration earlier scheduled for Friday, October 16. The group described Toluwanisings as a beloved brother and committed member.
Also, AY Grace Music Ministry postponed its All Sufficient Monthly Praise programme scheduled for Thursday, October 15, saying the decision was taken in honour of the late singer.
