ARIGBABU CHARGES OLD STUDENTS TO EMULATE SAGSOSA’S #87m PROJECT DONATION

Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, has urged old students’ associations across the state to emulate the laudable example set by the St. Anthony’s Grammar School Old Students’ Association (SAGSOSA).
SAGSOSA recently donated a staggering #87 million worth of projects, including a newly built Science Laboratory, fully equipped Information Communication Technology (ICT) Centres, and renovation of a block of 12 classrooms.
Prof. Arigbabu made the call during the 70th Anniversary celebration of SAGSOSA, praising the association’s intervention as “laudable and in tandem with the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s developmental plan and programmes for the education sector.”
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of supporting schools, noting that donations can impact many lives and reduce the number of out-of-school children.
He also enjoined teachers and learners to ensure the donated facilities are utilized and properly maintained, encouraging other willing stakeholders, corporate bodies, and philanthropists to support the education sector.
The National President of SAGSOSA, Prince Rotimi Bakare, revealed that the projects were inspired by the state government’s interventions in schools across the state, aiming to support the government in making the school befitting and taking the sector to an enviable pedestal.
